Demis uses collected data only for the specific purposes for which you supply the data. Your data will be kept only for as long as necessary for the purpose for which they have been collected. Demis will not make your data available to third parties unless there is a legal obligation to do so, unless they are processors working for Demis, or before you have been specifically informed and have granted the appropriate consent when supplying your data. To protect your data, Demis has a policy for information security and privacy management. We implement effective technical and organisational measures, including a management system for information security that complies with the international standard (ISO 27001: 2013) and relevant legislation and regulations; continuous procedures to increase our ability to cope with cyberthreats; measures for data backup, system access, system integrity, virus checking, passwords and encryption, and an effective corporate crisis plan.
If you want to see what information we have about you, you can send us a written request to that effect. If some data prove not to be correct, we can correct them for you. You can also ask us to limit the processing of your data or to delete your data. If you have given your consent, you can withdraw it at any time.

Do you plan to subscribe to a Demis newsletter? We will use the email address you provide only to send the newsletter. We will not pass on your data to third parties and, if we wish to do so at any time, we will do so only with your consent. Every newsletter will include a link for unsubscribing. If you unsubscribe from the newsletter, your email address will be removed from the relevant mailing list.
Registration for an event
Do you plan to register for a Demis event? We will use the data you provide (your name, organisation, position (optional) and email address) exclusively to register you for this event and to establish a picture in advance of the type of participants who have registered. We will not pass on your data to third parties and, if we wish to do so at any time, we will do so only with your consent. After the event, your data will be stored for twelve months in order to send you any correspondence that may be required pursuant to the event. At the end of that twelve-month period, your data will be removed from the records created for the event.
Purchase or download of free products or services
We process the requested data (your name, organisation (optional), address (optional), email address, and order details) in order to provide you with the requested products or services and to be able to provide you with adequate information if you have any questions. We will not pass on your data to third parties and, if we wish to do so at any time, we will do so only with your consent. We store the collected data for twelve months in order to provide you with adequate information if you have any questions. The data will be deleted after this twelve-month period.
Purchase or download of paid products or services
We process the requested data (your name, organisation (optional), address (optional), invoice address (optional), email address, and order details) in order to provide you with the requested products or services and to be able to provide you with adequate support at your request. In addition, we may use this information to inform you about Demis-related news reports, products, services or events that may be of interest to you. We will not pass on your data to third parties and, if we wish to do so at any time, we will do so only with your consent. We store the collected data for the statutory period of seven years that applies to our sales accounting system (this is the fiscal retention obligation). The data will be deleted after this seven-year period.
